SPEARFISH, S.D. – South Dakota Mines Volleyball earned their 18 th win of the season, taking down Black Hills State 3-1 on Tuesday night.
Black Hills State was able to take the first set and hold a lead late in the second set, but were unable to hold on to that momentum as South Dakota Mines took sets two, three, and four to win the match and take two points in the Black Hills Brawl Rivalry Series presented by Ford as they continue to stay atop the RMAC standings. Carsyn Mettler had a great game for the Yellow Jackets, but it wasn't enough to take the match against one of the top teams in the country.
The Black Hills State Yellow Jackets (9-13 (4-6 RMAC)) are at home this week for the final two home games of the year. To start this week, BHSU will face the South Dakota Mines Hardrockers (17-5 (7-3 RMAC)) in the newest edition of the Black Hills Brawl Rivalry Series presented by Ford. The Yellow Jackets, who currently lead the rivalry series 3-2 will look to hold their lead over the Hardrockers.
