RAPID CITY, S.D. — Grab your costume, gather your friends and get ready for a night of mystery in downtown Rapid City.

The fourth annual Creepy Crawl returns Friday, Oct. 30, bringing a Halloween-themed pub crawl and prizes to nine downtown establishments. Presented by Spirit Halloween, the crawl runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Participants can check in at Murphy’s Pub and Grill between 5 and 6 p.m. to receive the information they need to take part. From there, crawlers will make their way through downtown, using their phones to scan QR codes at participating bars and listen for clues as they work through the mystery.

Those who complete the crawl correctly will be entered into a random drawing for the grand prize: $2,000 in Allegiant flight vouchers. There’s also a $500 Visa gift card up for grabs for the creepiest costume, along with Creepy Crawl merchandise and prizes from participating bars. The flight vouchers could give one lucky crawler something to look forward to long after Halloween, while the costume prize gives participants a reason to bring out their most frightening looks.

This year’s participating locations are:

  • Murphy’s Pub and Grill

  • The 445 Lounge

  • Pour 54

  • Thirsty’s

  • Woodland Republic

  • The Social House

  • Firehouse Brewing Co.

  • Paddy O’Neill’s

  • Press Start

Each stop offers a chance to enjoy a different part of downtown Rapid City while collecting clues and keeping the Halloween celebration going. Whether you’re coming for the mystery, the costumes or a chance at the prizes, the Creepy Crawl offers a way to kick off Halloween weekend with friends in the heart of the Black Hills.
