SPEARFISH, S.D. – The 23rd annual South Dakota Festival of Books is this Thursday (Sept. 25) through Sunday (Sept. 28) in Spearfish.

Jennifer Widman is Director of the South Dakota Center for the Book at the South Dakota Humanities Council.

One of this year’s speakers is Lakota Olympic gold medalist Billy Mills who wrote “Wings of an Eagle” — this year’s “Young Readers One Book”.

Another key speaker is Rebecca Clarren, author of “The Cost of Free Land” — this year’s “One Book South Dakota” selection.

Widman says the trip out to Spearfish is worth it to see these authors and more…(FestivalOfBooks4, :13, q: together like that).

A complete list of speakers is posted at the South Dakota Humanities Council website — https://sdhumanities.org/festival-of-books/.
