Rapid City, SD – Wyatt Dennis set up his lemonade stand during rally at Sturgis in 2019. He and his parents agreed that he would give out free lemonade and donations would go towards a charitable organizations of his choice.

Today, Wyatt stood unassumingly behind his lemonade stand in LaCroix Hall at The Monument during opening weekend festivities for the Rapid City Rush.

The young man who has amassed hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations towards charities over the 6 years since he started his lemonade stand stood excited taking in the events of opening weekend.

If a true test of character is humility then Wyatt Dennis has learned well.

In 2020, when Wyatt set his lemonade stand up again during Sturgis Rally money started rolling in. He wanted a LEGO set.  His parents soon understood that he would be able to easily achieve this goal.

A plan for the money was set up : 50% toward college , 30% towards charitable contributions and 20% towards the Lego reward.

Wyatt’s first charitable contributions went to St Jude’s and have now expanded into several other donation opportunities

At a young age Wyatt’s parents taught him that hard work can get you what you want. They also taught him underlying lessons on saving, giving and spending money. They may not have realized the immense influence Wyatt would have on this world when he started this stand, but the evidence of his impact is evident in our community.
