This award honors exceptional YMCA staff who show notable professional growth, excellence and leadership.
RAPID CITY, SD April 24, 2025 – The Rapid City YMCA is honored to announce Matt Miles, Chief Property Officer, has been awarded the YMCA Professional Achievement Award which was presented to him at the annual Heartland YMCA Alliance Conference in Omaha, Nebraska on Wednesday, April 16th.
The Professional Achievement Award is given to a YMCA staff person who has achieved notable professional growth or excellence. To be considered, the nominee must have shown the highest level of leadership in their field as evidenced by their measurable achievements during the last year.
YMCA of Rapid City CEO, Keiz Larson – who nominated Matt for the award, states: “Matt’s exceptional leadership and dedication to the YMCA has significantly contributed to our organization’s success and growth. His financial acumen and achievements in cost management, leadership, community involvement and team development showcase his true impact which extends beyond our organization. One of Matt’s most admirable qualities is his unwavering willingness to help others.”
The Heartland YMCA Alliance is made up of 47 YMCA associations, including 88 membership facilities and resident camps throughout Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota serving over 750,000 people.
