RAPID CITY, S.D. – A Rapid City woman who authorities say tried to strangle a person at a local church earlier this month pleaded not guilty in a court appearance Thursday.
Rebecca Good Bear, 39, is charged with attempted 1st degree murder and aggravated assault.
Rapid City Police say Good Bear had a meeting with the victim at the Destiny Foursquare Church on July 8 and allegedly tried to strangle the victim during that meeting.
Good Bear is being held on $250,000 bond. If convicted on the attempted murder charge, she could face up to 25 years in prison.
