Whitewood holds special election for vacant spot on Ward 2 council

WHITEWOOD, S.D. – The City of Whitewood held a special city council election Tuesday to fill a vacant seat in ward two.

Unofficial election results show Kenneth Noren defeated challenger Levi Rave, 31 votes to 18.

Noren, a retired Sanford Lab wastewater treatment foreman, will join Roxie Cooper in representing Whitewood Ward Two.

The special election following the resignation of Raymond Huseby earlier this year.
