RAPID CITY, SD – Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) is proud to announce a series of celebrations honoring its 2025 graduates. The events, showcasing the achievements of students across various disciplines, highlight the college’s commitment to excellence in education and career readiness.
Celebrations will include the college’s 57th Commencement Ceremony, an Outstanding Graduates Banquet, Registered Nurse and Practical Nurse Pinning Ceremonies, and a Native American Honoring Ceremony.
Kumar Veluswamy, Director of Facilities and Construction at Dream Design International, will serve as the 2025 Commencement Speaker. Veluswamy is a respected leader in infrastructure development and community planning with more than 20 years of experience. He has been a strong advocate for technical education, contributing to the development of WDTC’s hands-on learning spaces and driving transformative community projects across South Dakota.

Friday, May 16
- Native American Honoring Ceremony – 5:30 p.m., WDTC Event Center.
Saturday, May 17
- Commencement Ceremony – 10 a.m., the Monument Ice Arena, 444 Mt. Rushmore Rd.
