RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred just before 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, at the Taco John’s located at 2810 West Main Street.
Officers responded to the scene following a report of a robbery that had just taken place. Witnesses told police that an unknown male subject entered the business, brandished a handgun, and demanded money from employees.
During the incident, the suspect reportedly assaulted an employee before fleeing the restaurant. Witnesses last saw the male heading to the northwest from the location.
The suspect is described as a heavy set male wearing all dark clothing and a face-covering.
