This weekend in Rapid City is stacked from start to finish — with live music, hands-on art, storytelling, vintage markets, and South Dakota’s largest beer festival all lighting up the calendar. Here’s your full guide to what’s happening around town.
Friday, November 14
The Lonely Rangers at Firehouse Wine Cellars (5–7 PM)
Kick off your Friday with The Lonely Rangers — the beloved duo of Johnny and Ross — performing live at Firehouse Wine Cellars. Known for their soulful harmonies and smooth blend of country rock and classic covers, this seasoned act knows how to create the perfect atmosphere for an evening of wine and good vibes. Guests are encouraged to arrive early for Wine Down Happy Hour specials from 4 to 6 PM. Grab a table, pour a glass, and settle in for a full night of live music.
Clay Gnome Night at Prouty Pottery (6 PM)
Looking for something creative? Head over to Prouty Pottery for Clay Gnome Night — a fun, hands-on class where guests sculpt their very own clay gnomes. The 1.5-hour workshop is guided by the talented Prouty team, with plenty of room for imagination. From flower crowns to shovels to luminary hats, every creation is unique. Once they’re fired and painted, your custom gnome will be ready to take home — no extra charge to paint, and no limits on creativity.
Johnny Hastings Live at Thirsty’s (6–8 PM)
Rockin’ blues, burgers, and beer — that’s what you’ll find at Thirsty’s this Friday night as Johnny Hastings returns to the stage. With a sound that’s both soulful and gritty, Hastings’ live sets have become a favorite for fans of classic blues and Southern rock.
“Welcome to The Frog Pond” at Dahl Arts Center (7 PM)
At 7 PM, the Dahl Arts Center hosts a truly unique one-woman performance from Cory Cavill-Tomovick titled The Frog Pond. Inspired by Clarissa Pinkola Estés’ book Women Who Run with the Wolves, this show dives deep into storytelling, poetry, and self-discovery. Audience participation is encouraged — but in a creative twist, no clapping is allowed between sketches. Instead, guests croak, howl, and connect in an interactive, imaginative experience that celebrates reclaiming one’s voice and story.
Pinky and the Floyd at 707 Nightclub (8 PM, Friday & Saturday)
Capping off Friday night — and carrying into Saturday — is Pinky and the Floyd at 707 Nightclub. The Bozeman-based tribute band is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” with a powerful two-night performance. Known for their massive sound and meticulous attention to detail, Pinky and the Floyd deliver an immersive live experience that brings Floyd’s legendary catalog to life. Doors open at 7 PM, with the show starting at 8.
Saturday, November 15
