RAPID CITY, S.D. – The public is being encouraged to vote for artwork that will be displayed on three City of Rapid City snow plow blades this upcoming winter season. The Rapid City Public Works Department and the Suzie Cappa Art Center, a program of Black Hills Works, are collaborating for a second year on the Rapid City Streets Art 2025 project.

Residents can vote online for their favorite from six art pieces designed by Black Hills Works community members. The public can cast their vote at rapidcitypublicworks.online/Streets-Art-2025. The deadline for voting is August 25. The winning art will be unveiled at the Touch-A-Truck event in September, which is part of the Community Pumpkin Festival in downtown Rapid City.

The three winning selections will be developed into large panels to be placed on the snow plow blades and used throughout the winter season. The project aims to showcase the talent of local artists and add a touch of color to the streets during the colder months in South Dakota.
