RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City police are seeking the public’s help to identify an individual responsible for an armed robbery at a local Taco John’s restaurant last Thursday evening.
The incident occurred at the establishment located at 2810 West Main Street. Police say the suspect entered the business, brandished a handgun, and demanded money. Witnesses described the suspect as a heavy set male wearing all dark clothing and a face-covering.
During the course of the interaction, the suspect also assaulted one of the employees before fleeing the business on foot toward the northwest.
Authorities are urging residents in Rapid City and the wider Black Hills area to report any pertinent information. Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity and/or whereabouts should contact Det. Brendan Lenard at 605-394-4134.
