Two Arrested After Brandishing Gun

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Two individuals were arrested late Thursday night in Rapid City following a disturbance involving a firearm on North LaCrosse Street.

Rapid City police responded around 11:30 p.m. on July 10 to a report of a disturbance at 1023 N. LaCrosse Street. Upon arrival, officers were directed to a male suspect, identified as 29-year-old Kael Jacobson of Rapid City, who was reportedly in possession of a firearm. Jacobson was detained, and a handgun was recovered from his person.

Further investigation and witness statements revealed the incident began as a dispute among neighbors. During the disturbance, Jacobson allegedly brandished the firearm. Police also determined that Jacobson displayed the weapon at the direction of 31-year-old Alicia Soberal of Groton.

Jacobson was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault Intimidation. Soberal was arrested for Abetting Aggravated Assault. Both were transported to the Pennington County Jail and booked at 12:09 a.m. on July 11.
