EAGLE BUTTE, S.D. – Authorities on the Cheyenne River Reservation are looking into the deaths of two people in Eagle Butte.
Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement responded Tuesday, June 10, 2025, around 4:30 pm to a residence in the Badger Park area of Eagle Butte for a report of an unresponsive person inside.
Upon arrival, officers found a 23 year-old male and 20 year-old female who were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The names of those involved have not been released.
Tribal law enforcement says they are working with the FBI office in Pierre to investigate the deaths.
Law enforcement are asking the public to come forward with any information.
