BOX ELDER, S.D. – A pair of Sturgis golfers were at the top of the leader board at the Douglas Invitational Tuesday.
Jace Thurman won the event scoring a 79. His teammate Jaxon Dodson finished one stroke back in second. Brock Schroeder of Hot Springs placed third and his teammate Austin Heinert finished fourth. Vander Von Eye of Rapid City Christian rounded out the top five.
Hot Springs won the team title scoring a low 327. Sturgis placed second in the team standings with a 331. Custer was third, followed by Rapid City Christian in fourth and Rapid City Stevens in fifth.
