RAPID CITY, SD — At 8:40pm police were dispatched to the Scheels located at 1225 Eglin St. following a report of drug activity in a vehicle.
Upon arriving, police discovered a vehicle and were able to identify 20-year-old Kaden Potter, 21-year-old Spencer Williamson, and 19-year-old Landon Vig. Upon discussing the incident with a witness, who claimed to have witnessed one of the occupants inhaling an unknown substance, police requested the men to exit the vehicle.
“A loaded firearm was located on Williamson’s person in addition to two loaded magazines in his pockets. A further search of the vehicle turned up various items of drug paraphernalia, including several items concealed in a pizza delivery bag and a digital scale. Multiple baggies containing a white powdery substance were located on all three occupants of the vehicle,” said Brendyn Medina, representing the RCPD in this incident, “The substance was field-tested and returned a positive result for cocaine”.
Following this, Potter and Williamson were placed under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Vig was placed under arrest for Distribution of a Controlled Substance. A firearm-related charge pending as investigation continues into this matter
