Vatican opens solemn run-up to Easter with recovering Pope Francis on the sidelines
VATICAN CITY (AP) — The Vatican is opening the most solemn period of Holy Week with a recovering Pope Francis largely on the sidelines. The Vatican declined to confirm or deny the reports, which stressed that any such outing would depend on Francis’ condition.
