The Brandon Jones Jam is right around the corner on March 29th, and it’s hard to believe it’s already here. This event has been in the works since the last one wrapped up, and the excitement is palpable. Brandon Jones himself expressed immense gratitude to Dawnn and Beth Anne, whose hard work has made this event what it is today. “I get to just show up and play music, which is the fun part for me,” Brandon shared, “but none of this would be possible without their dedication.”

The Brandon Jones Jam supports two incredible organizations: the Abbott House and the Black Hills Center for Aging. The Abbott House has deep roots in South Dakota, dating back 85 years. What began as an orphanage during the Great Depression has evolved into a vital residential treatment facility for girls. Over time, the Abbott House has expanded its reach, establishing therapeutic foster homes in Rapid City and Sioux Falls, providing kids with a supportive, family-like environment. Each home accommodates up to six children, ensuring each child has their own space while receiving the care and stability they deserve.

One remarkable aspect of the Abbott House’s mission is their independent living apartments, designed for kids aging out of foster care. Transitioning into adulthood is challenging enough, but without family support, it can be overwhelming. These apartments offer a crucial stepping stone, helping young adults build life skills, find jobs, and pursue education.

Alongside the Abbott House, the Black Hills Center for Aging is making a profound impact in the community. The Center offers essential services for the elderly, providing resources, advocacy, and programs that promote independence and improve quality of life. From transportation assistance to social engagement opportunities, the Black Hills Center for Aging ensures that seniors in the region are supported, valued, and connected.

Funding for these organizations comes from the state and generous donors, with fundraisers like the Brandon Jones Jam making a significant impact. These funds go beyond basic needs, providing kids with the opportunity to participate in sports, music, and other enriching activities—experiences that are essential to feeling like a “normal” kid—and helping seniors live with dignity and support.

Brandon shared how fortunate he feels to have had a stable family and the chance to play sports growing up. That’s why this cause hits so close to home. “I want these kids to have those same opportunities. They deserve to flourish and know the world is wide open for them. And supporting our elders is just as important—making sure they have the resources they need to live comfortably and stay connected to the community.”

The event promises a night of incredible music, starting with the Raft Co. opening at 7 PM, followed by the Brandon Jones Band. Doors open at 6 PM at the Fairgrounds, a special place for Brandon, who even got married next door in the Soules Building. General admission is open, but VIP tables are available for $500, seating up to eight people. These tables not only offer a reserved spot but also support two fantastic causes.

For tickets and more information, visit abbott-house.org or check out the Black Hills Center for Aging’s page for additional ways to support. Don’t miss out on a night of music, community, and giving back. As Brandon puts it, “It’s about the donation, hanging out, and partying for a great cause.”
