Chiefs forced to regroup after losing to Chargers in season opener marred by penalties and injuries
The Kansas City Chiefs looked sloppy and lackluster in a season-opening 27-21 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil. That’s the bad news. The good news is despite all their problems, from poor pass defense to a rash of penalties, they were still in the game in the fourth quarter. Now, the Chiefs head back to Kansas City trying to regroup, and the path forward doesn’t get easier with a Super Bowl rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles up next. That game is Sept. 14 at Arrowhead Stadium.
