Suspect in shooting located in Rapid City home

RAPID CITY, S.D. – A suspect in a January shooting in Rapid City has been apprehended.

On January 14, 2024, the Rapid City Police Department (RCPD) received information about the whereabouts of Brandy High Wolf, 30, a person of interest wanted for questioning about the January 8, 2024 shooting that injured one person in the 1600 block of Kellogg Place.

RCPD Looking For Two Suspects In Shooting

Police located High Wolf inside a Rapid City home. She had a glass pipe in her possession that field tested positive for methamphetamine. She was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance, and taken to the RCPD’s Criminal Investigations Division to speak with detectives about the shooting.

Following the interview, she was also placed under arrest for aggravated assault and possession of a firearm with a prior felony drug conviction with the January 8, 2024 shooting incident.

High Wolf was then taken to the Pennington County Jail.

Another person being sought earlier in connection with the shooting, Brittany Rodriguez, is no longer considered a person of interest in the case.
