RAPID CITY — The Sugar Shack, a long-standing burger destination in Rapid City, has announced its grand reopening for Friday, May 23, at 7 a.m. The announcement follows a “soft open” this past Saturday, marking a significant step in the restaurant’s return after a devastating fire in December 2023.
The rebuild faced numerous challenges, but the Sugar Shack is now ready to once again serve the Rapid City and Black Hills communities. The building is set at the same location but features upgraded amenities including a larger serving area and main level bathrooms. The reopening will allow patrons to once again enjoy the classic burgers and atmosphere that made the establishment a local favorite.
