STURGIS, S.D. – Sturgis Police had a quieter Rally Stat report for Thursday, compared to the highway patrol and Meade County Sheriff.
Sturgis Police Chief Geody Vandewater says officers just had one each of assault, disorderly conduct, domestic disturbance and misdemeanor drug arrests.
There were 5 D.U.I. arrests and 2 fight calls that police responded too.
Officers handed out 9 illegal parking citations, which rose to 92 for the year.
Police had 2 non-traffic arrests Thursday and 8 traffic-related arrests, sending the yearly total to 56 and 94 respectively. There have been 95 people booked into the Meade County Jail.
Sturgis Police have logged 1,348 calls for service so far this year for the 85th Rally.
