STURGIS, SD – Dustin Hale, founder of Sturgis-based Mindless Kreations LLC, is gaining national attention as a contestant on Season 17 of “The Blox,” an entrepreneurial competition series created by Wes Bergmann of MTV’s “The Challenge.” Hale’s appearance on the show highlights his journey from passionate craftsman to growing business owner, focusing on unique 3D-printed and hand-painted helmets, life-size statues, and cosplay accessories.
Mindless Kreations combines cutting-edge 3D printing technology with traditional hand-painting skills to create custom pieces for pop culture enthusiasts, cosplayers, gamers, and collectors across the country.
Hale described his experience on “The Blox” as transformative. “I learned more in one week than college could have taught me in four years,” Hale stated, emphasizing the strategic business insights he gained. He also noted the strong bonds he formed with fellow entrepreneurs during the competition, describing them as “friends who have quickly become like family.”
Following his time on “The Blox,” Hale has opened the first official Mindless Kreations storefront at 2709 Lazelle Street, Suite B, in Sturgis. The new location showcases his signature creations and a growing inventory of custom commission work.
Season 17 of “The Blox” will be available for streaming on Prime Video, Facebook Watch, and The Blox App. The unscripted series, produced by BetaBlox, brings together startup founders to live, work, compete, and pitch their businesses, offering an inside look at entrepreneurial challenges without scripted drama.
