St Thomas More wins Belle Fourche Challenge Cup

BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. – St Thomas More captured the title of the Belle Fourche Challenge in high school boys golf Thursday.

The cup featured five teams with 6 players, however they were short two players of 8 foursomes. Two players from Belle Fourche, Tatum and Grady Martin, were used as fillers. Points they scored were not added to the team total.

In their foursome, each player plays three, six-hole matches with each match worth one point. A player could score 5 points and a team could score 18 points.

St Thomas More placed first with 13.5 points. Spearfish was second with 11.5 and Sturgis placed third with 8.5 points.
