RAPID CITY, SD—Traffic restrictions begin today on a stretch of St. Joseph Street in the Halley Park area. The project will have significant traffic impacts for approximately two weeks.

Crews will initiate concrete panel repairs Monday and traffic will be reduced from three eastbound lanes to one lane from West Street to West Boulevard. Repairs are expected to be completed by April 15. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes to bypass the affected area. Allow additional time to reach destinations if traveling through the impacted area during the project period. Drivers and pedestrians are also advised to be cautious in the affected area as the crosswalk from 12th Street to Halley Park will be closed during this time.

A message board has been placed near the area to alert drivers of the traffic restriction.
