RAPID CITY, SD — On 1:00pm Saturday officers from the RCPD were dispatched following a reported theft from the Walmart located at 1200 N. Lacrosse St.
Following this report, the suspects were located driving west along Anamosa, where they did not stop in response to police until reaching College Avenue. “Both occupants exited the vehicle and attempted to flee law enforcement. The male driver of the vehicle was apprehended shortly after exiting the vehicle” said the RCPD in a statement following the event, and after apprehension of the driver, 35-year-old Brandon Ludens, “The female occupant of the vehicle ran northbound before entering an apartment at 1101 N. Maple Avenue and attempted to barricade the door. Police forced entry and were able to apprehend the female”.
The female, identified as 30-year-old Alicia Ramirez, was placed under arrest for Obstruction, Theft, Second Degree Burglary, and two Warrants. Ludens was placed under arrest for Obstruction, Theft, Eluding, and a Parole Hold.
