UNDATED – The Sturgis Titans wrapped up their 2025 summer legion season with a loss to Yankton in the first round round of the playoffs.
After losing 5-1 Wednesday night game one, the Titans dropped a 12-0 contest to Post 12 Thursday, as Yankton wins the best of three series two games to none.
With the win, Yankton advances to the state legion baseball tournament in Watertown.
They’ll be joined by Rapid City Post 22 and Rapid City Post 320.
The Hardhats advanced to the state tournament by beating Spearfish 5-2 Thursday in game two.
Post 320 advanced by beating Sioux Falls East twice Thursday – 8-7 in game one and 3-0 in game two.
Pierre is also headed to the state tournament after sweeping Huron. Brandon Valley defeated Aberdeen to also advance to state.
