BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. – The Butte County Sheriff’s Office and Highway Patrol got the chance to escort an airplane back to the Belle Fourche airport. Yes, an airplane.
The Highway Patrol says the small plane had to make an emergency landing Wednesday night and did so by touching down on U.S. Highway 212.
The patrol says they, along with the Butte County Sheriff’s Office, helped escort the plane back to the Belle Fourche airport as it was towed by a pickup truck.
The patrol says there were no injuries reported.
