Pierre, S.D. — The Second Century Habitat Fund (SCHF), South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP), and Can-Am have once again joined forces to launch the 2025 Defender for Habitat Raffle, offering outdoor enthusiasts the chance to win a 2025 Can-Am Defender Max Limited—all in support of habitat conservation efforts across South Dakota.
“We take care of the land here in South Dakota because we know that we’ll pass it on to the next generation,” said Governor Larry Rhoden. “This raffle will help support habitat, conservation, and our farmers and ranchers across the state — all while offering a pretty cool Can Am!”
The grand prize—a 2025 Can-Am Defender Max Limited in Desert Tan/Stealth Black—comes fully loaded with premium features, including power windows, climate-controlled interior, built-in light bar, winch, and more. Designed to handle South Dakota’s rugged terrain, this machine is ready for both work and play.
While one lucky winner will drive away in this state-of-the-art utility vehicle, the real reward will be felt across the state. Every ticket purchased supports on-the-ground conservation initiatives to improve habitat and strengthen South Dakota’s outdoor heritage.
“All proceeds from this raffle go directly into habitat restoration and conservation programs led by SCHF,” said Liz Kierl, Executive Director of the Second Century Habitat Fund. “This is a tremendous win for South Dakota’s hunters, ranchers, wildlife, and future generations.”
This marks the second collaboration between GFP, SCHF, and Can-Am. The inaugural raffle in 2021 raised over $500,000 for habitat—an achievement organizers are aiming to surpass this year.
