SPEARFISH, S.D. – Despite some off and on rain showers, the Sturgis Scooper baseball team got their game in with the Spearfish Spartans Monday night.
The game started an hour earlier than scheduled after rain inundated Spearfish earlier. The game got into the seventh inning when the skies opened up again with a heavy rain.
The Spartans were on the winning side of the weather, obtaining a 10-4 win.
Sturgis dropped to 4-13 on the season and heads to Pierre for a double-header Tuesday.
