
RAPID CITY, S.D. – The annual Veteran’s Classic Baseball Tournament continued Saturday in Rapid City.
Rapid City Post 22 picked up a decisive 11-2 victory over Grand Junction and the victory improves the Hardhats tournament record to 4-0. They will be playing in the championship game Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Post 22 18U team also went 4-0 in the tournament after two victories on Saturday, but the Hardhats won a tiebreaker based on runs allowed per innings played.
Rapid City Post 320 is also 4-0 in the tournament after a convincing 15-0 win over Chadron.
On Sunday, it will be Post 22 and Sheridan playing for the tournament championship at 4:30 p.m. at Black Hills Surgical Hospital Ballpark. The Stars will face Pierre, also at 4:30 p.m. That game will be played at Pete Lien Memorial Field.
The Sturgis Titans were also part of the Veteran’s Classic, but dropped two games on Saturday. Sturgis Post 33 lost to Alliance 11-2 and Cody, 21-9.
