RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City area law enforcement officials are offering a reward for information in connection to a Black Hills cold case.

The Rapid City Police Department and Pennington County Sheriff’s Office are offering $3,000 for information leading to an arrest in the death of Dylan Campbell.

His body was found in a western Rapid City neighborhood in October of 2022. Investigators determined his death was a homicide, but no arrests have been made.

“We are confident somebody out there knows what happened to Mr. Campbell,” said Captain Christian Sigel, commander of the RCPD’s Criminal Investigations Division. “We’re optimistic a $3,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case will help us generate further leads in the investigation.”

Authorities announced the reward on what would have been Campbell’s 46th birthday. The money comes from the Community Reward Fund.
