RAPID CITY, S.D. – June 9, 2025 – Wyatt Reeder delivered a sensational performance for the Post 22 Hardhats 2025 on Saturday, driving in four runs on four hits to lead the Rapid City-based squad to an 11-2 victory over RM Oysters Black 18O at Floyd Fitzgerald Stadium. The win showcased the offensive prowess and pitching depth of the local team, a strong representative of Rapid City baseball in the heart of the Black Hills, South Dakota.

Reeder’s big day included a solo home run to right field in the third inning, singles in the first and fourth innings that brought in a combined three runs, and a double in the sixth that scored another. His clutch hitting proved pivotal in crucial moments, breaking ties and extending leads for the Hardhats.

RM Oysters Black initially took a 1-0 lead in the first inning after a triple, but Reeder’s single in the bottom of the first quickly tied the game at one. He then gave Post 22 Hardhats 2025 the lead with his solo shot in the third. While RM Oysters Black briefly tied the game at two in the top of the fourth, the Hardhats responded with a five-run explosion in the bottom of the fourth, fueled by Reeder’s two-run single, to seize a commanding 7-2 lead they would not relinquish.

On the mound, Skyler Montgomery earned the win for Post 22 Hardhats 2025, allowing just two hits and one run over three innings while striking out three and walking two. Rowan Fredrickson started the game, surrendering two hits and one run over three innings, striking out five.

The Post 22 Hardhats 2025 offense was relentless, collecting 10 hits in total. Kain McLeod was another standout at the plate with three hits in four at-bats. The team also demonstrated patience, drawing six walks, with Josh Elder and Jace Morgan each contributing two. Aggressive base running was a key factor, as the Hardhats stole eight bases, including two by Blayn Hunt. Defensively, Post 22 Hardhats 2025 was flawless, not committing a single error, with Elder leading the team with nine chances in the field.

Head coach Kelvin Tore provided a concise summary of the team’s performance, highlighting the individual contributions and areas for improvement. “We did a lot of things really well,” Tore stated. “Wyatt Reeder had four hits and four RBIs. Kain McLeod had three hits. Between Rowan Fredrickson and Skyler Montgomery, we only gave up three runs. We had eight strikeouts. We did walk six guys, so we didn’t really command the zone like we should have.”
