Living Treasures Indian Arts Cultural Exchange

August 31 @ 10:00 am - September 6 @ 6:00 pm

Native artists teach and/or demonstrate the creation of artwork to visitors in the Native American Educational and Cultural Center®. Between 10:00am – 6:00pm during the below scheduled weeks, visitors are encouraged to stop in and learn about the selected medium of art along with its cultural significance. All Cultural Programs, including Living Treasures, is included with admission to the Memorial.

July 13-July 19: Elena Mendez (Tohono O’odham), Horsehair Weaving Demonstration
August 31-September 6: Michelle Reed (Ojibwe), Community Bandolier Bag (Beadwork Workshop)
September 28-October 4: Harmony Straub (Lakota), Beadwork Workshop
