RAPID CITY, S.D. โ Police in Rapid City reported a couple of drug-related incidents over the weekend.
On 11/21/25 at about 2025 hours, Jason Boehrns (52, from Sioux Falls, SD) was stopped in downtown Rapid City for having expired license plates. During the stop, the officer smelled the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle and noticed signs of the driver being impaired. This later led to Mr. Boehrnsโ being arrested and transported to the Pennington Co. Jail for DUI, Driving Under Suspension, Open Container in a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Controlled Substance (psilocybin mushrooms), and No Insurance.
In another case:
On 11/23/25 around 4:19 p.m., an officer on patrol in Star Village noticed a female, later identified as 32 year-old Tori Schierbeck of Pierre, SD, acting odd as she was walking around and knocking on random doors. The officer also noticed her behavior seemed uncontrolled. The officer approached to check on Tori and see if she needed assistance. As the officer approached and was talking with Tori, he could see that she was in possession of a methamphetamine pipe. The pipe contained a substance that later tested presumptively positive for methamphetamine. It was also learned Tori is on Parole, and as a result, she was arrested and transported to the Pennington Co. Jail for a Parole Hold and possession of methamphetamine.
