RC Fire responds to fatal entrapment accident Saturday

RAPID CITY, S.D. — The Rapid City Fire Department responded to an entrapment call at 2:00 am Saturday morning.

According to a post on Facebook, at 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning, RCFD responded to a call for the 500 block of N. Saint Onge Street.

A piece of equipment was working when it fell into a hopper, and debris collapsed on top of it. Crews had to secure the debris and the piece of equipment before extracting the patient.

The patient was dead at the scene.

No further information will be given out by the RCFD.
