Rapid City Stevens boys tennis drops second match of season

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Rapid City Stevens was back on the tennis courts Friday after losing their first match of the season on Thursday.

At Harrisburg, the Raiders dropped their second match of the season to the Tigers as they shut out Stevens, 9-0, winning all singles and doubles matches.

The Raiders would rebound later in the day, defeating Brandon Valley 6-3. Stevens dropped the Flight 1 and Flight 5 singles matches, as well as the Flight 1 doubles match.

St Thomas More was also in action Friday, winning both of their matches over Vermillion and Aberdeen Roncalli.

The Cavaliers defeated the Tanagers 7-2 and Aberdeen Roncalli’s Cavaliers 5-4.

Roncalli won the first three singles flight matches before St Thomas More would win Flights 4 through 6. In the doubles, Roncalli won Flight 1 and Flight 2 with St Thomas More capturing Flight 3.
