Rapid City, SD – In a gritty game against the Wichita Thunder the Rapid City Rush, proud ECHL affiliates of NHL Calgary Flames and ECHL Calgary Wranglers , afforded a 1- 0 shutout to Thunder goalie Matt Davis.
The Rush peppered Davis with 41 shots but could not find the sweet spot. The only goal in the game was scored during a power play within the first 6 minutes of the first period by Wichita’s Jay Dickman.
Rapid City failed to complete in four power play chances but did kill two out of three attempts against them.
Connor Murphy in goal for the rush put in good effort with 28 saves on 29 shots winning the third star of the game.
