RAPID CITY, S.D. – The West River Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP+) recently concluded its annual collection effort, securing nearly 1,100 winter apparel items to benefit veterans and those in need across Rapid City and the Black Hills region of South Dakota.

The drive is an annual effort by West River RSVP and is part of the Make A Difference Day national project initiative. The nearly 1,100 items collected represented a big turnout for the winter drive.

The majority of the donations, more than 850 items, were collected in Rapid City and earmarked for veterans at the Cornerstone Mission.

An additional 200 items were received at the Spearfish RSVP office. These donations will be distributed to various organizations serving communities in the northern hills
