Rapid City Police looking into early morning armed robbery

RAPID CITY, S.D.  – Rapid City police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a North Haines convenience store early Monday morning.

Police were called to the Yes Way around 3:00 a.m. for a report of a man wearing a mask over his face who had brandished a handgun and demanded money.

The clerk on duty complied with the man’s orders and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say the suspect wore a black jacket, black stocking cap, and a black face mask. They are attempting to recover video/images from the area to aid in the ongoing investigation.

Information about the robbery or the identity of the suspect involved can be called into police investigations at 605-394-4134. An anonymous tip can also be submitted by texting the letters ‘RCPD’ and the information to 847411.
