RAPID CITY, SD — Today from 1-3pm the Rapid City Parks & Recreation department hosted the first of what they are calling “Hydrant Parties”, attended by dozens of children and adults alike.
The event, held in collaboration with RCPD and RCFD featured a fire engine, which sprayed attendants trying to stave off the heat with water, and a representative from the RCPD with an antique police cruiser, which participants were free to take pictures beside or inside.
This block party was free to attend and open to all ages, and another similar event will be occurring again on July 23.
