RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Marshals opened up play in the Arena Football League with a preseason victory over the War Birds Saturday night.
The Marshals are playing their first season in the AFL after transitioning over from the Champions Indoor Football League.
The Marshals cruised to a 79 to 6 victory Saturday night in front of the home crowd at the Summit Arena at the Monument.
Mason Lee led Rapid City offensively, catching a touchdown on the first play of the first drive. He found the endzone several more times during the game.
The Marshals will officially open up the regular season Saturday, April 27, by hosting the Iowa Rampage.
