Rapid City, S.D. – On Friday, May 9th, the Rapid City Fire Department Cadet Program will hold a showcase at the department’s Fire Training Tower located at 2420 Creek Drive.
During this showcase, the department will recognize their nine graduating seniors, then all ten cadets will demonstrate skills they have acquired throughout the year. Those skills include a two minute gear drill, forcible entry, deployment of fire hose, deployment of ladders, victim search & rescue, and EMS skills.
This was the department’s second year of the Cadet Program, created for young adults, who are in their Junior or Senior academic year.
The Cadet Showcase will take place on Friday, May 9th at 2420 Creek Drive at 3 p.m.
