STURGIS, S.D. – The Sturgis Invitational Girls Golf Tournament fell victim to the weather Thursday, as rain ended the event at Boulder Canyon Country Club after 9 holes.
St Thomas More was at the top of the team standings with a 164 followed by Rapid City Stevens four strokes back.
Custer was third, Belle Fourche fourth and Rapid City Christian rounded out the top five.
Leading individually was Lauren Knapp of Rapid City Stevens with a 36. Rylan Horning of St Thomas More was one stroke back in second and Kaitlin Strain of St Thomas More was third with a 39.
Mara Wilkening of St Thomas More and Jaida Jacobs of Little Wound rounded out the top five.
Top placing Scooper was Lily Heisinger in 11th place.
