President Trump Endorses Mike Rounds For Senate

Rapid City, SD – President Donald J. Trump has officially endorsed U.S. Senator Mike Rounds for re-election, a move that signals strong support from the top of the Republican Party for the South Dakota incumbent. The endorsement, shared by President Trump on social media, praises Rounds as an “America First Patriot.”

“An America First Patriot, Mike is fighting tirelessly to Advance the Great Values of the Mount Rushmore State, Champion our Farmers and Ranchers, Strengthen the Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Ensure American Energy DOMINANCE, Help Secure our already Highly Secure Border, Support our Brave Military, Veterans, and Law Enforcement, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment,” President Trump posted. “Mike Rounds has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election – HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”

Senator Rounds acknowledged the endorsement, stating, “I appreciate President Trump calling me today to offer his endorsement. Together, we’ve delivered real results for South Dakota, and we’re just getting started.” Rounds added that while he has not formally launched his re-election campaign, an announcement is expected “shortly.”

Rounds, a Republican from Rapid City, is currently serving his second term in the U.S. Senate. He was first elected in 2014 and re-elected in 2020. His current term is set to conclude in January 2027, with the next Senate election scheduled for November 3, 2026.
