First-Inning Burst Enough To Lead OBC 18U Past Post 320 Stars
OBC 18U scored eight runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat Post 320 Stars 13-3 on Saturday at Pete Lien Mem.
OBC 18U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Sutton Hodge drew a walk, scoring one run, Ben Rice doubled, scoring one run, a passed ball scored one run, Walker Brown drew a walk, scoring one run, Alex Hurr drew a walk, scoring one run, Aydan Price singled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.
OBC 18U added two runs in the second. Elijah McMillian doubled down the left field line, making the score 10-0.
A sacrifice fly by Kenny Kuchynka extended the OBC 18U lead to 11-0 in the top of the third inning.
Kuchynka earned the win for OBC 18U. The pitcher allowed four hits and three runs (one earned) over six and one-third innings, striking out five and walking three. Kason Kostenbauer pitched four innings in relief for Post 320 Stars. The right-handed pitcher surrendered three hits and two runs while, striking out six and walking one. Alijah Ballard took the loss for Post 320 Stars. The southpaw went two-thirds of an inning, surrendering six runs on one hit, striking out one and walking four.
Max Speed and Ian Feeger were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Post 320 Stars. Tegan Sayles went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Post 320 Stars in hits. Jhett Peterson stole two bases.
OBC 18U piled up 10 hits in the game. Kuchynka drove the middle of the lineup, leading OBC 18U with three runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Rice went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead OBC 18U in hits. Hurr paced OBC 18U with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating nine walks for the game. Hurr stole two bases.

Tegan Sayles With 3 Hits As Post 320 Stars Beat OBC 18U
Tegan Sayles collected three hits in four at bats, as Post 320 Stars defeated OBC 18U 16-6 on Saturday at Pete Lien Mem. Sayles singled in the first inning, doubled in the second inning, and singled in the second inning.
OBC 18U were the first to get on the board in the first when Ryder Lufborough singled, scoring one run.
Post 320 Stars flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on six hits to take the lead, 5-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Sayles that drove in one.
Post 320 Stars scored six runs on four hits in the bottom of the second inning. Colton Mehlhaff singled, scoring one run, Max Schoenhard grounded out, scoring two runs, Jonah Blake singled, scoring two runs, and Sayles singled, scoring one run.
A single by Laadon Faatz, and a ground out by Noah Wald helped Post 320 Stars extend their early lead in the third.
Faatz started on the hill for Post 320 Stars. The southpaw gave up four hits and four runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking two. Walker Brown opened the game for OBC 18U. The lefty surrendered eight hits and nine runs (eight earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking two. Beck Leighty appeared in relief for Post 320 Stars.
Post 320 Stars piled up 13 hits in the game. Blake and Sayles were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Post 320 Stars. Jhett Peterson and Schoenhard each stole multiple bases for Post 320 Stars.

Post 320 Stars could not keep up with OBC 18U 11-7 on Sunday at Pete Lien Memorial Field.
OBC 18U jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Ryder Lufborough hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Ben Rice singled, scoring one run, and Elijah McMillian singled, scoring two runs.
OBC 18U added one run in the second after Kenny Kuchynka doubled to center field.
OBC 18U added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after McMillian doubled down the left field line, and Post 320 Stars committed an error, each scoring one run.
Anders Lockhart stepped on the hill first for Post 320 Stars. The right-handed pitcher allowed seven hits and seven runs (five earned) over three innings, striking out four and walking two. Alex Hurr stepped on the mound first for OBC 18U. The righty allowed four hits and three runs (two earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking three.
Max Schoenhard led Post 320 Stars with three hits in four at bats. Lockhart and Noah Wald each drove in two runs for Post 320 Stars. Colby Wit led Post 320 Stars with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying eight walks for the game.
OBC 18U accumulated 13 hits in the game. Kuchynka, Sutton Hodge, Hurr, Rice, Owen James, and McMillian each collected two hits for OBC 18U. Kuchynka and McMillian each drove in three runs for OBC 18U.
