Rapid City – Post 320 are 3-1 this season. They lost to the Gillette Riders in their first game of the season on April 12th but have defeated them three consecutive times including a double header on Sunday.

Post 320 Stars took Sunday’s game in dramatic fashion, with a 9-8 walk-off victory over Gillette Riders at Pete Lien Memorial Field. The game was tied at eight in the bottom of the eighth when Max Speed drew a walk, scoring one run.
Despite falling down by five runs in the sixth inning, Gillette Riders tried to fight back. Gillette Riders closed the gap by scoring on a solo home run, a single, a single, an error, and a single.
Gillette Riders opened the scoring in the top of the third thanks to two singles. Gillette Riders first got on the board when Karver Partlow singled, scoring one run.
Post 320 Stars took the lead, 5-2, in the bottom of the third thanks to singles by Ayden Byrd, Jonah Blake, Colton Mehlhaff, and Max Schoenhard.
Gillette Riders tied the game in the top of the seventh thanks to a solo home run to left field by Seth Petersen, a single by S Smith, a single by Carmine Newman, and an error.
Gillette Riders took the lead in the top of the eighth. Newman singled, scoring one run, to give Gillette Riders the advantage, 8-7.
Post 320 Stars took the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning after Gillette Riders committed an error, and Speed walked, each scoring one run.
Noah Wald began the game for Post 320 Stars. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and two runs over four innings, striking out three and walking three. Partlow stepped on the bump first for Gillette Riders. The pitcher allowed nine hits and five runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one. Mehlhaff and Tegan Sayles each appeared in relief for Post 320 Stars.
Post 320 Stars accumulated 14 hits in the game. Schoenhard led Post 320 Stars with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The right fielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Sayles went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Post 320 Stars in hits. Blake, Mehlhaff, and Gaven Heintzman each collected multiple hits for Post 320 Stars.
Gillette Riders piled up 10 hits in the game. Newman and Smith each collected three hits for Gillette Riders. Newman and Smith each drove in two runs for Gillette Riders. Kobe Craig collected two hits for Gillette Riders in five at bats. Gillette Riders worked the count all day, tallying six walks. Gillette Riders turned two double plays in the game.
