The Post 22 Hardhats 2025 gave their home crowd two very different but exciting wins on Tuesday, sweeping a doubleheader against the visiting Keybirds Post 37 18U. Game 1 came down to the final at-bat, while Game 2 was all about early offense and control.

Game 1: Hardhats Storm Back with Walk-Off Win

Post 22 entered the bottom of the seventh trailing 7 to 2, but a six-run rally ended with Kain McLeod’s walk-off single, giving the Hardhats a 8 to 7 win.

Blayn Hunt led the way at the plate, going 2 for 3 with four RBIs. His biggest swing came on an inside-the-park home run that scored three runs in the final inning and gave the Hardhats the momentum they needed to complete the comeback.

The Keybirds took an early 2 to 0 lead after a two-run single by Collin McCuistion in the top of the first. They added more runs in the third and fourth, eventually building what looked like a safe lead.

Post 22 starter Jadon Moreno pitched the first inning, allowing two runs on one hit. Skyler Montgomery got the win in relief, allowing one hit and one run over one and two-thirds innings. Declan Mickley and Luke Hanzlik also pitched in relief.

Wyatt Reeder joined Hunt with two hits, and Aiden Roberts stole two bases. On the Keybirds’ side, Jaxon Jeannotte drove in two runs and was one of six players to collect a hit.

Game 2: Reeder Homers Twice in 11 to 1 Rout

In the second game, Post 22 wasted no time jumping ahead. Reeder opened the scoring with a solo inside-the-park home run in the first inning, then came back in the second with a three-run inside-the-park home run

Reeder finished with five RBIs on the night, powering the Hardhats to an 11 to 1 win. The team scored six runs in the second inning, with Aiden Roberts adding a two-run single and Lars Kieffer drawing a bases-loaded walk.

Roberts went 2 for 3 at the plate and stole three bases. The Hardhats racked up six total steals and did not commit an error in the field.

Dawson Inhofer earned the win, allowing just one run on three hits in three innings. Carter Johnson pitched two scoreless innings in relief, giving up only one hit.

Keybirds hitters managed four total hits in Game 2. Eden Mortenson went 1 for 2 and drove in the team’s only run.
