STURGIS, S.D. – A coordinated operation involving the Sturgis Police Department and the Deadwood Police Department led to the seizure of illegal narcotics and firearms at a residence in Sturgis, underscoring the commitment of law enforcement agencies to combat drug-related crime in the Black Hills region of South Dakota.
Officers executed a search warrant at a Sturgis home, resulting in the recovery of several pounds of marijuana, approximately 67 grams of cocaine, 203 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, THC edibles, THC wax, and multiple firearms.
The successful operation highlights the ongoing cooperation between area law enforcement agencies, including the assistance of the Meade County Sheriff’s Office, in their shared mission of keeping communities like Rapid City and Sturgis safe and drug-free.
