PHILIP, S.D. – In high school cross country Friday, Philip hosted their cross country invitational.
The home team Scotties won the men’s team title and Lemon won the women’s team title.
Winning the men’s race was Tayshaun Cudmore of Dupree in a time of 16:41.98. Three Philip Scotties then placed second through fourth. They were Baylor Burns in second, Jack Peterson in third and David McKinley in fourth. Dupree’s Spencer Olson rounded out the top five.
Winning the women’s race was Lucile Ahart of Newell in a time of 21:56.79. BreAna Aske of Jones County was second, Lemmon’s Briley Gebhart and Chel Odenbach were third and fourth respectively, and Kalla Padden of Harding County rounded out the top five.
